The Trail that Time Forgot

This 3-day fasthiking loop connects the French coastal town of Menton with rustic Olivetta (hence its name), a paradisical Italian valley bordering the Bevera river in one of Europe's most impressively rugged landscapes.

On the way, you'll cross medieval perched villages, overlooking the canyons of the winding Bevera and Roya rivers, walk on medieval mule trails through terraced slopes and scale the highest mountain on the coast, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Eastern Cote d'Azur, where the Alps meet the Mediterranean Sea. This trail really has it all, except maybe for one thing - crowds.

Just a few kilometers from a bustling coastline, it’s truly surprising that this world-class trail has remained such a well-kept secret until now. You can now experience it in all its wild beauty and solitude.

Take a Hike on the Wild Side of the Cote d'Azur

Take a Hike on the Wild Side of the Cote d'Azur

The lower Bevera river is the least populated area near the coast. While this makes for deeply immersive hiking experiences, this also means campgrounds and shops with food supplies are non-existent. Carrying your own tent, linen, toiletry, cooking equipment and food for several days would mean carrying a 20kg pack over up to 25

kilometers on steep slopes and narrow trails.

But no worries, we made it work for you!

We Have Your Pack!

TRAILR has developed the 'CAMPACK' concept: Tent accommodation plus a supply box which contains everything you need for your camp stay and hikes. This way you can hike far and fast while camping slow: no time wasted setting up a rushed camp in the dark and breaking down in the damp morning hours.

GET PRIORITY ACCESS

Both sections of the trail as well as the trail camp are located on ancient rural infrastructure which has been taken over by nature over the past decades. Maintenance and reconstructive work is done to create a superb hiking and camping experience. Due to the amount of initial work involved, TRAILR will only operate a trail camp of intimate size with just 3 tents in the first season.

You can be one of the few to experience the trail in its full splendor, before it gets popularized.

Seize this one-of opportunity to get on the 2027 PIONEER list for priority booking when we launch (limited to 100 spots!), and receive an exclusive Pioneer cap at camp for free.
